Regiment info etc.

Hi there.  Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. 
I'm trying to find info about the actions of my relations in WWI and WWII.  Names and rank are as follows;
Capt. Harold Geggie, RCAMC, CEF, WWI . Maj. Conrad Geggie, RCAMC, CEF, WWI .  Capt. Hans Geggie, RCAMC, France, WWII.   A/C David Geggie, RCAF, Egypt, WWII.   L/Cpl Stuart Geggie, RCIC, Canada .

I realize I can apply for service records, but it seems a bit of a hassle.  If someone here can point me in the right direction in finding their regiment/battalion etc as a starting point, it would be much appreciated.

Thats about as far as I got on my own. I was hoping there was a way to find info without ordering anything such as regiment etc.

The letters you gave for the Second World War correspond to corps of the Canadian Army, they do not correspond to individual units. Royal Canadian Infantry Corps was a blanket organization (and wasn't actually "Royal" until after the war ended) including every single infantry unit in the entire army. You will need service records to narrow your search. If you have specific questions once you have narrowed things down, there will be people here able to help you further. Good luck.

Hans Geggie's was a Dr. with the 6th Canadian Field Ambulance during WW2 and my father was also a Dr. with them. I am fortunate in having all the letters my Dad sent home during the war and he often referred to Hans. I know I have at least one photo of Hans from a newspaper clipping and somewhere a typed description of his story from the attack on Walcheren Island.
My Dad also took pictures while overseas and while many weren't labelled and I can't identify individuals, there were shots of the dressing station and I have a write up of where they went from the time they landed in France in 1944 until the time they left Germany. It is very interesting reading and I am more than happy to share with family members of Hans.
