Yeah... I'm aware that we have trade badges on the uniform we wear the least. I've been wearing one for the last couple of decades...CAF NCM uniforms already have trade qualification badges, unlike the Americans. They're just located on the sleeve instead of on the chest.
Apart from the CA, it's the same badge regardless of your DP/QL. Why is a DP1 Cook wearing the same badge as a DP3? What harm is there in showing your qualification level, alongside your qualification?
Why don't we wear trade badges on our operational dress? In flash gear it would be nice to know if the S1 standing in front of me is a MMT or a Mar Tech.
Trade badges are only on the sleeves of MS and below.For the Navy, they’re on the lapel of the tunic, and sleeve on the short sleeve shirt.
